NCP rally begins after stage attack and vandalism in Gopalganj
There was an attack and vandalism at the National Citizens Party (NCP) rally in Gopalganj. Today, Wednesday, at around 1:45 pm, 200 to 300 locals carried out the attack with sticks in the city’s municipal park. They were all Awami League supporters.

It was seen from the rally site that at 1:45 pm, 200 to 300 people came to the rally site with sticks. At that time, the police members around the stage quickly entered the court premises. At the same time, the NCP leaders and workers who were on the stage and in front of the stage also ran away.
The attackers vandalized the stage chairs and tore the banners. At one stage, District Superintendent of Police Md. Mizanur Rahman arrived at the scene. At that time, the NCP leaders and workers united and chased the attackers along with the police.
NCP convener Nahid Islam, member secretary Akhtar Hossain, chief organizer (southern region) Hasnat Abdullah, chief organizer (northern region) Sarjis Alam and other central leaders reached the rally venue at 2:05 pm. They were standing on the stage and delivering speeches till the time of writing this report at around 2:15 pm.
